Appartement Wildriad

“Wildriad” is a very special name for us, because near this beautiful high moor our life paths crossed for the first time. The loop “Bartholomaeberg-Silbertal” had long been one of Alexandra’s favorite mountain bike tours.

So it was on this day in 2005, when Steffen, freshly relocated from Germany to the Montafon, explored the area on his bike. The sporty woman on the path in front of him … she had something. So he pedaled, caught up with her and simply approached her.

The two quickly became sympathetic and decided to drive a little side by side. At the stop at the Hasahüsli and a glass of Enzian they already agreed, to go on a bike tour together again soon …

By the way, the 9 ½ hectare raised bog “Wildriad” is a real natural jewel. “Bogs of this originality and composition are an extreme rarity today in the entire Alpine region” reads the Vorarlberg Biotope Inventory. Here you will discover very rare, strictly protected plants, such as the long-leaved sundew.
