Appartement Winkel
The name was inspired by the old field name for a particularly beautiful spot on our large Tanafreida site. Winkel, there lies our unique smooth oat meadow, one of the most species-rich meadows in the whole country. The secret: we only have it mowed twice a year. Otherwise, nature is in charge.
If you walk up the path directly in front of the Tanafreida on the left, past the first house, you will soon come to an original shingled “Montafon” house with “Ställi”. From there you can already see our old cowshed – with the Holder tree next to it. In our valley there is a Holder tree next to almost every cowshed, because our ancestors were firmly convinced, that this keeps illness and misfortune away. Well. In any case, it smells wonderful.
Right there you stand in front of our special meadow, which even was awarded at the Vorarlberg Meadow Championship 2019. And yes, that’s a “big thing” in Austria.
By the way: In the middle of this very special meadow we have set up a small, 2 m2 large resting place. At this spot we invite you with pleasure to a meadow bath. And so that your stomach growls do not drown out the quiet buzzing of the countless bees and butterflies, we will gladly prepare a snack basket for you – as “z`Nüni” in the morning, or as “z’Marend” in the afternoon.
It is located at the very top, directly under the roof truss, and with 37 m² is one of our smallest apartments. Yes. The “Winkel” is a very, very cozy place.
- The peaceful bedroom convinces with solid wood furniture made of Swiss pine, a 180 x 200 cm double bed with separate Optimo mattresses and a robust wardrobe. From the window you look out over the edge of the forest.
- Bright and inviting is the living room. Indeed, the wide skylight lets a lot of daylight into the room. Table, chairs and shelves are made of solid oak. The details, chosen with love by Alexandra, give the room character.
- The Italian sofa bed invites you to lounge and, with a 180 x 200 cm comfort mattress, also offers enough space for sleeping. Special highlight: folded out, you lie here directly under the skylight. So nothing stands in the way of a “dreamlike” view of the night sky.
- You want to cook? In the small kitchenette you will find a refrigerator with freezer compartment, oven, microwave, dishwasher, pad coffee maker and kettle. We provide basic spices, vinegar and oil in organic quality.
- Insider tip: From the small forest view window, right next to the hob, you can sometimes see a deer. So it might be worth to look out.
- In the modern bathroom you enjoy a spacious, ground-level shower. The separate WC is just practical. Our whey-based care products from Metzler® are simply exceptional.
- As standard you will find WLAN and cable TV with radio in all apartments. We provide towels, bed linen and bathrobes, which will be changed once a week.
By the way: For all those who need space for themselves, we recommend the “Winkel” rather for two. However, if the three or four of you are particularly fond of each other: The sofa bed is really comfortable. We promise. Nevertheless, the apartment will be quite cuddly.
